Personal

A few non-linguistic things that are important to me:

I take part in the Dream-Catchers Program, a partnership between Fairfax County Public Schools and George Mason University that connects Mason faculty and staff in a mentorship relationship with local alternative high school students. Interested Mason faculty or staff can contact Karen Kitching for more information.

I am a member of the Viola da Gamba Society of America (Greater Washington-Baltimore chapter) and attempt to make non-horrible sounds on my rented bass viol.

I am registered with the National Marrow Donor Program.

I like running in Virginia (and elsewhere).

I have taken George Mason LGBTQ Safe Zone Training and consider myself a resource/contact/ally for LGBTQ students on campus.

I took all the pictures shown on my page. You can see the full versions here, with descriptions of where they were taken.
